Live jobs, courses and apprenticeships from our Jobs Board — a gold badge means you can meet that employer at one of our fairs. Apply early, or say hello on the day.
No risk, book with confidence
Explore hiring in this areaPost your jobs, courses and apprenticeships once — they work everywhere we do: on our national Jobs Board, broadcast to Google Jobs, and highlighted to the candidates coming to this event — for 12 months, at no extra cost.
Here are a few — every event is built to put your brand in front of people actively looking for something new.
Our London events are priced separately due to significantly higher venue and operational costs, alongside the increased scale and reach they offer. Exhibiting in London provides access to one of the UK's largest and most diverse candidate markets, making it a premium location within our event network.

Location guide / North East
Software, games, professional services and engineering contribute to Newcastle’s regional employment role. The Quayside and Jesmond offer different settings for time outside work, with cultural venues on both sides of the Tyne. Central opportunities and jobs elsewhere on Tyneside need separate housing and travel comparisons.

Know the areaNewcastle here means Newcastle upon Tyne, not Newcastle-under-Lyme. Housing figures cover Newcastle upon Tyne local authority; Gateshead and other Tyneside authorities are separate.

Area averages are not current asking prices or individual property valuations. Local short-term changes are volatile; use a year or longer. UK HPI house-price observations are provisional and subject to revision.
Invest Newcastle describes digital strengths across software, games, data and immersive technology, alongside professional services and advanced manufacturing. Its investment material names Sage and organisations such as Accenture among the city-region business base.
Engineering activity extends along the Tyne, with offshore and subsea businesses among the regional employers. Ask where a role is actually based and whether site travel is expected. Newcastle College's Energy Academy is one training route highlighted by the investment agency; compare qualifications and entry requirements directly with providers and employers.
Explore the centre and Quayside alongside a neighbourhood such as Jesmond, depending on your priorities. Riverside activity, central convenience and a residential setting can each appeal for different reasons. Test the route from a particular property to work and shops, including slopes, crossings and the final walk.
The official rent figure shown alongside covers Newcastle. This all-property authority average is not an asking-rent quote for your chosen home. If comparing with Gateshead or other Tyneside areas, keep council boundaries and travel costs clear, and include Council Tax, energy and broadband.
Travel North East launched in June 2026 to bring bus, Metro, ferry and local rail information together across Tyne and Wear, County Durham and Northumberland. It is a useful starting point for comparing a city commute with a journey across the wider region.
Check the actual work hours and both directions, rather than relying on a map alone. Metro and bus services can change during engineering work or incidents, so consult current updates before an interview or the fair. Confirm any station or stop accessibility you need for the specific journey.
The NewcastleGateshead visitor guide highlights Quayside walks and cultural activity on both banks of the Tyne. Jesmond offers another setting, with shops, cafés and Jesmond Dene's green space. Explore them as examples of different daily routines rather than assuming one area suits everyone.
Try ordinary weekday visits as well as a weekend evening. Find a regular group, class, café or library close to your prospective home, and check the return journey after cultural or social events. Use current venue programmes and names when making plans.
Newcastle City Council covers Newcastle upon Tyne; nearby Tyneside addresses may use other authorities. Confirm Council Tax, waste, parking and school arrangements at the exact address before signing a tenancy. A location marketed as Newcastle can still mean a different council or commute.
Use NHS guidance for GP registration. If childcare or care services matter to your household, investigate availability and hours early. Keep your employment offer and tenancy documents together, and budget for travel and household setup during the first month.
We use official local authorities, transport operators, public data and destination organisations. Data periods are shown alongside figures. Employer examples describe the local economy; they are not a promise of vacancies or attendance at the fair.
Next editorial review due 3 December 2026. Prices, services and availability can change before then.

Tell candidates what the work involves, what support you offer and which skills can be learned on the job. A conversation at your stand gives both sides room to ask questions.
