The UK Careers Fair uses email to run free public careers fairs: to confirm registrations and bookings, to send the job alerts candidates ask for, to keep exhibitors informed, and to invite local employers to meet candidates at the fair in their area. This policy sets out the standards we apply to that email, and how to opt out of it.
The UK Careers Fair Limited (company number 11482834) is a market-leading UK careers fair organiser. We have run face-to-face careers fairs across the UK since 2018 and have delivered more than 1,000 events, in person and online. Our 2026/27 season runs to more than 150 careers events in 65 towns and cities, and candidates always attend free.
We have reached more than a million candidates, and thousands of employers have exhibited with us — from SMEs to national names, alongside training providers, universities, charities and public-sector teams including councils, NHS trusts and Jobcentre Plus. We have won four national awards — Best National Recruitment Events at the UK Enterprise Awards 2025, and Business Excellence Awards in 2022, 2023 and 2024 — and we are an Eventbrite Top Organiser.
Every stand includes 12 months on our jobs board, which connects candidates with the employers exhibiting at their local fair.
This policy applies to every email that mentions or links to ukcareersfair.com, including our jobs board at ukcareersfair.com/jobs, whoever sends it: The UK Careers Fair Limited, our team, the internal tools that support them, and any contractor, partner or affiliate. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information.
Email that mentions or links to ukcareersfair.com may be sent only to:
We never:
We send our own email through three services, all on our own domain: Google Workspace (our ukcareersfair.com mailboxes), Resend (registration, booking, job-alert and jobs-board email, sent from mail.ukcareersfair.com) and MailerLite (our employer newsletter). Each service is authorised for our domain through SPF and DKIM records, and our domain publishes a DMARC policy set to quarantine.
Square delivers our invoices, and Eventbrite sends ticket confirmations for fairs booked through it, each from its own systems.
A careers fair is only as good as the employers in the room, so we invite local employers to take a stand and meet local candidates at the free public careers fair in their area. These invitations are business to business, and they follow these standards:
Invitations are prepared with the support of internal tools, which apply our suppression list and the contact limits below before each invitation is written.
Contact limits and cool-off periods are set centrally and applied by our internal tools:
Candidates register free for our fairs. Registering brings a confirmation and two reminders: one a week before the fair and one the day before.
Job alerts and candidate newsletters are a separate choice. We send them only to candidates who have opted in, with an unticked box at registration or through our subscribe form.
Candidates who booked a free ticket for one of our fairs through Eventbrite in the past 24 months may be invited when we return to their city. Each of these invitations is checked against our suppression list before it is sent.
Every job alert and every past-attendee invitation includes a visible unsubscribe link and a one-click unsubscribe header, so your mailbox can offer its own unsubscribe button.
Exhibitors receive the emails their booking needs, such as confirmations, invoices and arrival details, and updates about their jobs-board listing.
Organisations that have exhibited with us, or enquired about exhibiting, may also receive news of upcoming fairs in their area. Each of these emails includes a clear way to opt out. Our employer newsletter, sent through MailerLite, includes an unsubscribe link in every issue.
You can stop email from us at any time:
When you unsubscribe at ukcareersfair.com/unsubscribe, or ask us by reply or by email, your address is added to our central suppression list. Entries are permanent. When the address is on an organisation's own email domain, the unsubscribe page suppresses that whole domain, so nobody else at the organisation is invited either.
Every business invitation is checked against the list before it is prepared. Every past-attendee invitation, post-event email, and re-booking and jobs-board promotional email to employers is checked against it before it is sent.
Emails about something you have booked or registered for, such as your stand's arrival details, continue so that we can deliver the service you booked.
No partner, contractor, affiliate or other third party is permitted to advertise ukcareersfair.com, our fairs or our jobs board by unsolicited bulk email, or to send email that appears to come from us.
Partners who share our fairs by email may do so only with people who have agreed to hear from them. If a partner, contractor or affiliate breaches this policy, we withdraw their permission to promote us and end our working relationship with them.
If you receive an email that mentions ukcareersfair.com and you believe it breaks this policy, whoever sent it, please forward it with its full headers to info@ukcareersfair.com. We will add your address to our suppression list, establish how and by whom the message was sent, and act under this policy, including ending any relationship with a third party responsible.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
