The Opportunity
You will be part of a friendly, motivated team committed to improving the quality of life for the people we support. You’ll receive a warm welcome, full guidance, and the tools needed to develop your skills and confidence in a truly rewarding role.
About the Role
Our team is passionate about delivering high-quality, bespoke care that places each individual at the heart of everything we do. Due to the nature of the role, shift patterns include evenings, weekends, and some unsociable hours.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential to build positive relationships with those we support and to ensure effective handovers with colleagues.
About the Individual You’ll Support
The lady you will be supporting is a warm, cheeky, and happy 29-year-old with a diagnosis of tuberous sclerosis, learning disabilities, and epilepsy. She can display behaviours that challenge in certain situations and has needs similar to someone on the autistic spectrum.
She requires support with aspects of her personal care and all daily living tasks, although she is beginning to engage with her mum in helping with these activities. Support needs to be introduced slowly and consistently, in line with her pace and preferences.
She has a basic diet, with clear likes and dislikes around the food she would like. She is highly social and enjoys activities such as discos and shopping, which are incorporated into her structured weekly routine. A calm, patient, and encouraging approach is essential to help her feel safe, confident, and supported. Full training and ongoing guidance will be provided.
