Who We Are – The Bristol Care Group

At The Bristol Care Group, we provide therapeutic residential care for children and young people, creating safe, nurturing homes where they feel valued, understood and supported. We care for children with social, emotional and mental health needs, including those who have experienced trauma, adversity and disruption in their lives.

Our approach is built on trusting relationships, consistency and understanding each child’s individual experiences. Through trauma-informed care and PACE principles—Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity and Empathy—we help children develop a sense of safety and belonging, alongside clear boundaries and dependable everyday care.

We support every aspect of children’s daily lives, including education, physical and emotional wellbeing, family relationships, friendships, activities and independence skills. Working closely with families, social workers, schools and other professionals, we tailor our care to each child’s needs, listen to their wishes and celebrate their achievements.

We also invest in the people who make this care possible. Through training, professional qualifications, reflective supervision and opportunities for progression, we support our colleagues to develop their skills and build rewarding careers. We want our teams to feel supported, confident and proud of the difference they make.
