Live jobs, courses and apprenticeships from our Jobs Board — a gold badge means you can meet that employer at one of our fairs. Apply early, or say hello on the day.
No risk, book with confidence
Explore hiring in this areaPost your jobs, courses and apprenticeships once — they work everywhere we do: on our national Jobs Board, broadcast to Google Jobs, and highlighted to the candidates coming to this event — for 12 months, at no extra cost.
Here are a few — every event is built to put your brand in front of people actively looking for something new.
Our London events are priced separately due to significantly higher venue and operational costs, alongside the increased scale and reach they offer. Exhibiting in London provides access to one of the UK's largest and most diverse candidate markets, making it a premium location within our event network.
The highest level of visibility available — activated from the point of booking once all relevant information has been received.

Location guide / West Midlands
Professional services in the centre, creative businesses in Digbeth, universities and industrial workplaces give Birmingham a broad employment map. Its neighbourhoods are equally varied. A useful home search starts with the transport corridor serving your job, then the streets, shops and green spaces around it.

Know the areaHousing figures cover Birmingham City Council’s area, not the whole West Midlands conurbation.

Birmingham · 2025
Whole statistical area, not necessarily the town boundary.Employment rate, age 16–64: 66.5% · Birmingham · Jul 2025-Jun 2026. Survey estimate; local results can be volatile.
Area averages are not current asking prices or individual property valuations. Local short-term changes are volatile; use a year or longer. UK HPI house-price observations are provisional and subject to revision.
Invest West Midlands identifies business, professional and financial services, advanced manufacturing, healthcare and future mobility among Birmingham’s strengths. The council’s economic strategy also points to creative and digital activity in Digbeth and research around its universities. This breadth means it is worth searching by occupation as well as industry: finance, customer operations and technical roles occur across several sectors.
The strategy also names Aston University, Birmingham City University and the University of Birmingham. For a career change, ask employers which qualifications they actually require and whether they support apprenticeships or part-time study. Check where the role is based; the city centre, university sites and industrial locations imply different commutes. Birmingham Adult Education Service offers learning in English, maths, IT and other subjects; confirm current courses, fees and eligibility.
The Jewellery Quarter, Digbeth and the central canal districts offer different starting points for an urban search: heritage workshops and mixed-use streets, creative venues, or the business and leisure core. Visit at the times you would normally be home. A lively evening district can suit one routine and disrupt another; check noise, storage and building management before deciding.
The official rent figure shown alongside covers Birmingham. This is a citywide, all-property measure covering existing and new tenancies, not a quotation for a city-centre flat. Compare equivalent properties and calculate council tax, heating, broadband and daily travel together. A cheaper rent further out is only useful if the journey fits your working hours.
Transport for West Midlands provides local maps showing rail, tram and bus connections. New Street, the central tram corridor and the wider bus network can make a car-light routine practical, but the best mode depends on the workplace rather than a general claim that the city is well connected.
Use the current TfWM maps and journey tools to test transfers and the final walk. Metro tickets depend on the zones used; check the current ticket rules before purchasing. For driving, look up the route, parking arrangements and any applicable city-centre charging requirements. Do not use an old fare, timetable or advertised fastest journey as a monthly budget.
Visit Birmingham describes a city of distinct quarters: Digbeth and Southside for creative activity, Brindleyplace for canalside dining, and the Jewellery Quarter for heritage.
Think beyond the headline attractions: find a grocery shop, a regular exercise route, a library or a class close to a prospective home. Check event calendars and venue opening arrangements directly, especially when planning around a concert or major sporting fixture.
Start with Birmingham City Council for local services, council tax and housing information; use the exact address rather than the city name when checking charges and provision. Families should confirm school and childcare availability with the relevant service and provider before relying on a neighbourhood shortlist.
Use the NHS GP finder, organise utilities and broadband, and keep an inventory and meter readings when you move in. If work is hybrid, check the connection available at the specific property and whether you have a suitable work area. At the careers fair, ask each employer about the actual office or site, required attendance, shift patterns and the first weeks of induction.
We use official local authorities, transport operators, public data and destination organisations. Data periods are shown alongside figures. Employer examples describe the local economy; they are not a promise of vacancies or attendance at the fair.
Next editorial review due 3 December 2026. Prices, services and availability can change before then.

Tell candidates what the work involves, what support you offer and which skills can be learned on the job. A conversation at your stand gives both sides room to ask questions.
