Purpose of the Job
To support and enable individuals with disabilities to live their lives their way, creating opportunities and encouraging participation in service provision.
Promoting the rights of individuals to have control over their own lives this could include teaching new skills for independence, support to develop relationships and to play an active part in their local community.
This will involve working as part of a team within a flexible rota to include weekends, bank holidays and sleep-in duties.
You will be required to:
Work contracted hours between 16–37.5 hours per week
Work a variety of shifts on a rota basis, including evenings, weekends, public holidays, waking nights and sleep‑in duties
Support individuals to increase independence, confidence and daily living skills
Promote inclusion and support individuals to access their local communities
Maintain accurate records and follow care plans and risk assessments
Work in line with Drive’s values, policies and procedures
Hold a full UK driving licence, have access to a vehicle and obtain business car insurance
Essential requirements
Willingness to work towards (or already hold) a Level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care
Willingness to register with and maintain registration with Social Care Wales
Aged 18 or over
