Tutorium Education Technologies Ltd, trading as Tutorium, welcomes adult teachers, experienced tutors, graduates, university students and subject specialists across the UK. Build a focused offer for the subjects and levels you can genuinely support, from school and college learning to adult skills.
YOUR TUTORING, YOUR WAY
Tutorium is a marketplace for independent tutors. Choose your subjects, availability, Tutor Fee and which lesson requests to accept. Offer online tuition or suitable in-person lessons where available. Your profile, lesson requests, messaging, scheduling and learning resources are kept together in one platform.
PAY AND COSTS
There is no fixed salary or guaranteed number of hours. Tutors set their own Tutor Fee. There is currently no Tutorium application or listing fee. During the current direct-payment pilot, adult customers pay tutors directly; Tutorium does not process lesson payments or collect a service fee. No payment-provider onboarding is needed during the pilot.
A separate 20% customer service fee is planned once the payment launch is ready. Tutors keep their stated Tutor Fee, and the applicable prices and terms will be shown before booking. Existing direct-payment bookings will not be charged retrospectively. Tutors remain responsible for their tax, National Insurance, insurance, ordinary business expenses and eligible DBS application or renewal costs.
APPLICATION AND REVIEW
Describe your genuine subject knowledge, teaching approach and lesson format. Complete the adult tutor application, accept the current Tutor Agreement and safeguarding requirements, and submit the evidence requested for your offer. Profiles are reviewed before public listing. Role-eligible DBS evidence is verified privately, and qualification-evidence status is shown where applicable. See tutorium.uk/trust for the current requirements.
Founding tutors who pass review receive priority placement for 90 days after approval and publication. Approval and priority placement do not guarantee views, enquiries, learner demand, bookings, work, earnings or learning outcomes.
Applicants must be legally able to provide tutoring on a self-employed basis in the UK. This is an independent-provider opportunity, not employment with Tutorium.
