Graduate Acoustic Consultant / Acoustic Consultant
Company: Sharps Redmore
Location: Stowmarket, Suffolk, or Wakefield, West Yorkshire
Salary: Dependent on qualifications and experience
Experience: Graduate entry to approximately five years’ experience
Put your interest in sound, science and the environment into practice.
Sharps Redmore is an independent acoustics, noise and vibration consultancy. We are looking for a graduate or early-career consultant to join our Stowmarket or Wakefield office.
Whether you are starting your career or already have consultancy experience, we offer the opportunity to develop your skills in a supportive team working on projects across the UK and beyond.
About us
Our work includes architectural and building acoustics, environmental noise and vibration, industrial noise, workplace noise assessments and expert witness services. We advise on projects across education, commercial, residential, leisure, infrastructure and other sectors.
We support, trust and believe in our consultants. We want you to enjoy your work, take pride in what you achieve and develop responsibilities that reflect your strengths and interests.
About you
You will have a degree in acoustics or a related subject, such as physics, geography or music technology.
Previous acoustic consultancy experience is welcome but is not essential. Skills in acoustic modelling, vibration analysis or environmental acoustics would be useful, but we are equally interested in your willingness to learn and your approach to work.
We are looking for:
A strong work ethic and the ability to organise your work.
Clear communication and good teamwork.
An interest in developing your skills and knowledge.
A full UK driving licence.
Suitable references and the right to work in the UK.
You should be able to work from either our Stowmarket or Wakefield office.
What we offer
Alongside a salary reflecting your qualifications and experience, our benefits include:
Car allowance.
Private medical cover package, including 24-hour GP access and family cover.
Wellbeing support.
Enhanced maternity package, where applicable.
25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays and Christmas shutdown.
Death-in-service cover.
Cycle to Work scheme.
Free parking in a modern, vibrant working environment.
We encourage continuous professional development and will support you in building a career around your abilities and interests.
