A place to take your culinary career to new heights, Watergate Bay offers more than just a kitchen. Here, seasonal ingredients meet contemporary cooking in one extraordinary location.
At The Living Space, we produce generous, seasonal food inspired by Cornwall's incredible produce. From fresh pasta and vibrant salads to burgers, grills and sharing dishes, every plate is designed to bring people together after a day by the sea.
With one of the UK's most spectacular beach views on your doorstep, plus free on-site parking, a direct bus route from Newquay and our team minibus, it's a place that's as rewarding to work in as it is to visit.
Our Chef de Partie role
You'll support the day-to-day running of the kitchen, preparing, cooking and presenting dishes to the standards our guests return for. Working confidently through prep and service, you'll take ownership of your section while helping deliver exceptional food with fresh, seasonal ingredients.
You'll also maintain high standards of food safety, cleanliness and organisation, supporting stock control and ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly throughout each shift.
Whether you're an experienced Chef de Partie or ready to step up, you'll have the opportunity to learn from experienced chefs, develop your skills and grow your career within a supportive, values-led business.
This is a full-time role based on a 40-hour week.
What you'll bring
• Experience as a Chef de Partie, or ready to step up into the role.
• Food Hygiene certification.
• NVQ Level 1 & 2 (or equivalent).
• A passion for seasonal food and local produce.
• Attention to detail and pride in your work.
• A calm, positive approach under pressure.
• A collaborative mindset and willingness to learn.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts.
