This is a commission-based role with uncapped earning potential, so the more you achieve, the more you can earn.
The Fatherhood Project is looking for confident, outgoing and community-minded individuals to join our team as Fatherhood Ambassadors.
This is a people-focused outreach role where no two shifts are exactly the same. You’ll be out in the community, speaking with members of the public, raising awareness of The Fatherhood Project and helping more young people and families connect with the support available to them.
You’ll work alongside management and other team members to promote our services, encourage donations and monthly subscriptions, and identify young people who may benefit from being referred to our programmes.
If you enjoy talking to people, have a natural confidence, like working towards goals and want to be part of something that has a genuine community impact, this could be a great fit for you.
What you’ll be doing
Representing The Fatherhood Project at outreach locations and community spaces
Approaching and engaging members of the public in a friendly and confident way
Talking about our mission, services and the difference our work can make
Encouraging people to learn more about and support The Fatherhood Project
Generating one-off donations and monthly subscriptions
Helping identify and refer young people who may benefit from our services
Handing out leaflets, information packs and promotional materials
Keeping simple records of conversations, sign-ups and referrals
Working closely with your Manager and fellow Ambassadors
Sharing feedback on what members of the public are responding to
We’d love to hear from you if you are
Confident and comfortable speaking to new people
Friendly, approachable and a strong communicator
Passionate about supporting the community
Motivated by targets and personal achievement
Reliable, punctual and professional
Positive, enthusiastic and able to bring good energy to a team
Comfortable working independently as well as alongside others
Willing to learn and develop your outreach skills
Previous experience in fundraising, sales, outreach, customer service or public engagement is helpful, but not essential. What matters most is your attitude, confidence and ability to connect with people.
What you can expect
Uncapped commission-based earning potential
Flexible working hours
A sociable, public-facing role
The opportunity to build confidence, communication and outreach skills
Experience working within a community-focused organisation
The chance to directly contribute to work supporting young people and families
Support from management and your wider team
Working locations and schedules may vary and will be confirmed upon appointment.
