At The UK Careers Fair, you can meet local and national employers face-to-face, and apply directly for hundreds of vacancies. Attending a careers fair is a great way of meeting face-to face with employers and discovering new opportunities within a chosen industry or multiple sectors in your local area.
It is good to know that having a ticket is not essential for attending the event. This means that even if you do not have a ticket, you will still be able to gain access to the event!
It is great to know that there is no set dress code for attending the event. This means that you are free to wear whatever you feel comfortable and appropriate for the occasion. While many attendees may choose to wear smart-casual attire, you are not required to do so.
The event will start at 10am and conclude at 2pm. To make the most of your time at the event, we recommend arriving by 12:30pm. This will give you the opportunity to speak with all of the participating employers and explore the event before it concludes at 2pm.
To find out which companies will be attending an event, you can check the event's webpage for a list of previous exhibitors. This will give you an idea of the types of companies that may be present at the event. However, for the most current and accurate list of attendees, you can reach out to the event organizers by emailing them at info@ukcareersfair.com or calling them at 01252 983140. You can also follow the event's social media channels, such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, to stay up-to-date on any announcements or updates regarding attendees. Keep in mind that the list of attendees may change leading up to the event, so it's best to check in with the organizers or follow their social media channels for the most current information.
The reason that we hold event(s) on weekdays rather than weekends is because weekends are typically a time where companies have a shortage of staff available, and as a result would be less likely to have the resources available to attend an event like this.
By hosting our events on weekdays, we are able to maximize the number of companies and roles on offer on the day, which results in more opportunities available at each event. We have also made it our priority to hold the event are more of the more accessible times throughout the day, 10am - 2pm - this will allow those who are working to attend on during their lunch break.
We do understand that many people do work on weekdays, which is why we ensure that we start advertising our events 2 months in advance - to give everyone an opportunity to make plans to attend.
A careers fair is an opportunity for job seekers to meet with a variety of employers in one place and learn about the job and career opportunities available at their companies. It's also a chance for job seekers to network with professionals in their field, gather information about different industries, and get a sense of the job market. Employers also attend careers fairs to promote their company and recruit new employees. They may have information about job openings, apprenticeships and other opportunities available. Careers fairs can be a valuable resource for job seekers at any stage of their career, whether they're looking for their first job, trying to change careers, or seeking to advance in their current field.
It is always a good idea to bring a copy of your CV with you to events like this, as it can be useful for networking and applying for jobs. However, having a positive attitude and an open mind is even more important. Many employers and hiring managers value attitude and personality over experience, so having a positive attitude can go a long way in making a good impression and helping you stand out from other attendees. Additionally, having a positive attitude can help you stay motivated and focused throughout the event, and can make the whole experience more enjoyable and rewarding.
