HMS Automated Gates Ltd is an expanding local company specialising in the manufacture, installation and maintenance of bespoke automated gates and structural fencing. We are looking for an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join our workshop team.

The Role

You will be responsible for fabricating and welding bespoke automated gates, fencing and steelwork, working from technical drawings and specifications to produce high-quality finished products.

Key duties include:

MIG/TIG welding and general fabrication
Cutting, shaping, grinding and assembling steel components
Reading and working from technical drawings
Preparing materials and components for welding
Carrying out quality checks to ensure a high standard of workmanship
Using hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment safely
Maintaining a clean and organised workshop
About You

We are looking for someone who:

Has proven experience in welding and fabrication
Can confidently work from drawings and measurements
Has experience with steelwork, gates or similar fabrication
Can work independently and as part of a team
Takes pride in producing high-quality work
Has a strong work ethic and good attention to detail
Has a good understanding of workshop health and safety

Experience with TIG welding and bespoke gate fabrication would be an advantage, but a willingness to learn and develop is equally important.
