About the role
As a Financial Planner, first and foremost you will be responsible for delivering a fantastic Lifestyle Financial Planning experience for clients.
You will do this by:
Working with clients to be able to identify the ‘big questions’ and what their best life looks like.
Demonstrating how our Lifestyle Planning Process differs from traditional financial advice and why our holistic approach promises ‘Real advice for real people’.
Building positive working relationships with clients and colleagues alike, resulting in the correct and appropriate outcome for all.
Ensuring that all financial planning activities are executed within the regulated requirements.
Truly knowing your clients and keeping all records up-to-date.
What it takes to be a successful Financial Planner with Joslin Rhodes:
You are personable, likeable and most importantly, trustworthy.
You can listen, diagnose and coach clients on how best to achieve their financial goals.
You have life experience and can empathise.
You can read people and are comfortable in challenging them on any limiting beliefs.
You have a head for numbers.
You are comfortable explaining technical information simply, clearly and with confidence.
You can sell our services by offering trust and comfort in them.
You are a results-driven person and able to deliver the required revenue to sustain the growth of the business.
And, as you would expect with a Trainee Financial Planner role, you’ll need to learn the job! All successful candidates will need to be willing to put in the time and commitment to the role which includes:
Studying independently and passing the Level 4 qualification ‘Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning’
Completing and passing the PlanHappy Lifestyle Financial Planning Academy.
If you think you tick all these boxes, here’s what your typical day could look like:
Working with the Sales Support Team to manage and monitor your pipeline and upcoming activities.
Preparing and conducting client meetings.
Working closely with colleagues across the business to ensure your client’s case is being progressed.
Discussing and agreeing recommendations with Paraplanners to answer your client’s ‘big question’.
Delivering Financial Planning recommendations to clients.
Attending Joslin Rhodes in-house training sessions.
