JOB OVERVIEW
Apacor is seeking a reliable and detail-focused Packer to join its fast-paced Assembly & Packing team. The candidate should have proven experience in a packing, production or warehouse role, ideally within the medical, technological, or food industry or a similarly regulated environment.
The ideal candidate will be accurate, methodical and comfortable working to daily output targets, with a strong attention to detail when it comes to lot numbers, quantities and paperwork. A valid counterbalance forklift licence is required as a minimum, with a reach truck licence preferred, so that the role can support Dispatch and Goods In when required. This role requires a commitment to maintaining a safe, clean and efficient work environment.
The candidate will support the Assembly Supervisor to ensure finished product is packed, labelled and boxed correctly and on time to meet production requirements, in line with statutory Health and Safety Legislation, Apacor’s ISO 13485 quality management system and company policies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Packing: Pack, label and box finished product from the assembly lines to the correct specification, quantity and lot number, in line with job sheets and work instructions. Maintain a steady pace to meet daily output targets without compromising accuracy.
Quality: Carry out checks during and after packing to ensure products, labels and packaging meet internal & external customer specifications and standards. Document and report any deviations, damage or non-conformances through the correct channels.
Documentation: Maintain accurate, legible and timely records of packing activity, including job sheets, lot numbers and quantities. Ensure all documentation is completed correctly and on time, in line with Good Documentation Practice.
Housekeeping: Keep the packing area, stations and surrounding floor clean, tidy and organised, following 5S principles and ensuring walkways and fire exits are kept clear at all times.
Process Improvement: Work with the assembly and packing team to identify opportunities to improve packing efficiency, reduce errors and waste, and improve the flow of product from the lines to the warehouse.
Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (such as Automated Assembly, Quality Control, Warehouse and Admin) to ensure smooth production flow and timely delivery of products.
Despatch Support: When required, support the warehouse team in picking, packing and preparing customer orders for despatch, including loading and unloading vehicles using a counterbalance (and, where licensed, reach) forklift truck. Complete daily pre-use checks and report any defects.
Goods In Support: When required, support the warehouse team in receiving, checking and putting away incoming deliveries, and in stock counts and cycle counts.
Machine Operation Support: When required assist the setup, operation, and monitor automated filling, assembling, Pad Printing & bagging machinery and equipment, ensuring functionality and smooth operation during production runs.
Chemical Mixing: You may be asked to join the chemical mixing rota to support Apacor’s Chemical Technician in the mixing of Reagents in-line with Apacor’s needs.

Physical: Able to lift and move goods safely and work on your feet for the full shift.
Communication: Good written and spoken English for reading job sheets and completing records.
