Contract: 12-month FTC
Team: Finance
Office Location: Sheffield
Application Process: CV and Covering Letter
The role:
At Fragomen we are looking for a dynamic Sheffield Hallam Accounting and Finance student to join our Finance team for a year’s placement at our office based in Sheffield.
You will be the third student to join our placement programme established in memory of Sheffield Hallam University alumnus, Felix Rozenbroek, who tragically passed away in 2023.
Felix was an integral member of Fragomen's Finance team and, after completing his degree at Sheffield Hallam University, went on to pursue his CIMA qualification as part of his ambition to become a qualified accountant.
This placement programme has been created to honour Felix's legacy by providing Sheffield Hallam University Accounting and Finance students with an exciting, developmental and career-enhancing opportunity within a global organisation.
Commencing in September 2026 and lasting 12 months, the placement will provide exposure to both transactional accounting and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) activities across the EMEA region. The successful candidate will support the delivery of key accounting processes and help ensure financial tasks are completed accurately and within internal and external deadlines.
Working as part of a collaborative finance function, you will gain experience across multiple areas of finance and interact with colleagues at all levels, from Finance Managers to our transactional finance teams. This unique opportunity will provide valuable insight into the operations of an international finance organisation while developing both technical and professional skills.
We are seeking a motivated individual with strong organisational and communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. Candidates should demonstrate a commercial-focused approach, an eagerness to learn, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
This placement offers an excellent foundation for students looking to pursue a career in finance and accounting, while celebrating and continuing the legacy of a valued colleague.
If you would like to be considered for this placement, please follow the link to submit a short application. Please note on completion of the application you may be asked to submit a CV separately.
