Full Job Description We’re offering an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to join our established business in Earls Colne & Halstead, Essex, as a Trainee Operations Manager. This on-site role requires a driving licence and car due to limited public transport. In this position, you’ll receive hands-on training across various departments—including Finance, Customer Support, Production, Purchasing, Sales, Marketing, Operations, HR, Quality, and IT—gaining a comprehensive understanding of our business. Working closely with the Operations Director, you’ll acquire the skills and experience needed to advance to an Operations Manager role. As part of our management team, you’ll have the chance to contribute to our strategic goals and grow into a leadership position. Main Duties and Responsibilities: • Follow a hands-on training plan, working in each department to gain a full understanding of the business and build credibility. • Learn key line and staff functions, company policies, and management viewpoints. • Meet performance goals set by upper management. • Shadow experienced employees to learn methods, procedures, and standards. • Lead or assist in special projects assigned by management. • Train in various departments to enable future role flexibility and promotional opportunities. • Provide support in various departments, including reporting, data entry, presentation creation, strategic planning, and customer service. The ideal candidate will be educated to an A-Level standard or hold a degree in any subject. They will also have a strong desire to pursue a career in warehousing and logistics, excellent communication skills, proficiency in MS Office, and an interest in handling IT issues in our high-tech industry.
