Job Description:

Reporting to the General Manager Advanced Services, the Resident Engineer must represent and manage client’s on-site quality and supply requirements. Moreover, they ensure consistent deployment of Trigo culture and values. Overall Responsibilities Perform on-site supplier visits for root cause analysis & verification of corrective actions of supplier quality issues. Support & follow up start of production (SOP) & running technical changes, including PPAP/PSW submission & Run at rate. Develop & maintain accurate reporting of supplier performance & quality improvement progress, including closure of problem investigations. Report weekly & monthly on supplier progress to meet customer expectations. Lead and/or support Material Review Board activities to achieve optimal disposition of non-conforming material/parts & ensure that adequate corrective actions are implemented. Facilitate the escalation of unresolved supplier quality issues within assigned projects & suppliers. Representation of contracted partner & the interests of the customer.Facilitate local/external measurement & analysis activities. Perform & facilitate the evaluation of existing manufacturing or business processes, identification of improvement opportunities, & development of solutions to optimise supplier performance using Lean Six Sigma tools & techniques. Undertake special projects as required.   Person Profile Minimum +8 years’ experience within manufacturing engineering or supply chain environments Minimum HNC/HND in Engineering / Manufacturing discipline Considered as Subject Matter Expert within their field Experience of vehicle or vehicle sub-systems i.e., BIW, powertrain, braking systems, exterior trim including lighting, interior trim including seating & consoles -  preferred Experience in OEM or 1st Tier supply chain - advantageous Problem solving & implementation of corrective actions, using structured techniques i.e. PPS, 8D, A3 Knowledge & demonstrate practical application of lean principles Knowledge of containment & inspection activities – advantageous Have good written & verbal communication, & interpersonal skills Working knowledge & experience with Quality Management Systems, i.e. ISO9100, TS-16949, AS9102 Performing product & process audits - advantageous Self-motivated, operates with autonomy & ability to prioritise their own work to achieve agreed objectives Experience of New Product Introduction or Program launches - advantageous Demonstrates practical experience & implementation of Quality Engineering tools and systems, i.e. APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MMOG, SPC, Controls Plans, SOP -  preferred UK Driving licence
