Based in Cambridge, UK The role is with Kymab, a Sanofi company About the Opportunity We are seeking a talented laboratory-based Associate Scientist to join our Technology Development Group at Kymab. As an Associate Scientist you will work on the identification of drug candidates using our in-house Intelliselect technology and Bispecific Antibody Platform. In this role will have the opportunity to contribute to discover and develop the next generation of immunotherapeutic antibodies targeting diseases with unmet medical need. The Company generates its product candidates using its proprietary, integrated platforms collectively called IntelliSelect®. Key Responsibilities for position About growing with us In this role you will…. Support an antibody discovery project to identify bi-specific or tri-specific antibodies for drug discovery to Development Candidate stage Participate in the formulation of bi-specific or tri-specific discovery activities including MOA, target validation, functional screening to assess molecule efficacy Develop and perform binding and cell-based functional assays for screening and functional assessment of antibodies Work in a highly collaborative environment with other scientists and bring a range of disciplines to the projects Analyse and interpret experimental data, identifying problems and trouble-shooting technical issues Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of research proposals and experimental write-ups Competencies/ Requirements for position.

Qualifications/ Education & work experience Degree in life science and hands-on research background in academia or in a pharmaceutical/biotechnology lab setting Research background in molecular biology, cell biology or biochemistry and proficiency in aseptic cell culture technique, is essential Technical skills include but not limited to: cell culture, transfection, molecular cloning, quantitative PCR, fluorescent and luminescent cell-based assays An understanding of experimental design, statistical analysis and data interpretation Excellent attention-to-detail in experimental work and laboratory management standards The ability to plan and execute to clear timelines Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to analyse complicated data in a logical and understandable format The ability to work independently and actively collaborate with cross-functional teams (internally and externally Flexible attitude with regards to changing priorities Inspire your Journey: what Kymab can offer you: A close knit, family feel work environment, in which you can develop your talent and realize ideas and innovations within a competent team An attractive, market-oriented salary aligned with your qualifications and including social benefits An individual and well-structured introduction and training when you onboard You can create your own career path within Kymab.
