Purpose / Added Value: To support site planning manager to ensure cost effective planning of material supplies into manufacturing and packing operations. To produce time-phased material requirements based on planned production, Bills of Material, lead-times, order quantities and safety stock. To maximise material availability within prescribed stock holding parameters. Identifies the best tactics to suit specific situations in order to win support, gain co-operation or overcome and modify barriers Operations (Deliver, Better, Simpler and Cheaper) • To formulate production plans that maximise factory efficiencies, labour productivity and work within factory constraints. • Responsible for controlling WIP, offsite and finished goods stock levels to ensure we are operating as efficiently as possible within our deep chill platform, highlighting to the business if there are any unforeseen issues. • Monitor the daily progress of the factory to ensure that service levels are met, highlighting any deviations in a timely manner. • Monitor, report and improve against set Planning KPIs • To attain best practice planning methods & look for improvement ideas to lead to efficiency improvements. • Deputise to the planning manager – Covering planning manager tasks during holiday cover. This will be reviewed and signed annually. Skills & Knowledge • Experienced user of Arolink and SAP PRD • Previous Planning & Scheduling experience (Essential) • Previous Capacity Planning experience (Essential) • Previous MRP, Purchasing or Stock Control experience (Desirable) • Strong IT skills • Organisational ability • Strong communication skills Qualifications [Accredited] • Excel to Intermediate level (advanced is desirable) • Word and PowerPoint (intermediate is desirable)
