1. To participate in the day-to-day implementation of individual support plans and activities and provide appropriate support to service users around daily living skills and recreational activities. 2. To co-ordinate and be involved in the development of life skills i.e., the preparation of meals, laundry duties and cleaning. To enforce cleanliness of service user’s rooms. 3. To have regard for the personal welfare and safety of the young person and advise their key worker and management of any issues or problems. 4. To maintain and promote good working relationships with the service user, staff, family, Social Services, and other professionals. To maintain accurate notes and records and submit written support logs for each shift. 5. To keep the property clean and tidy and maintain cleaning rota records in correspondence with each of your shifts ensuring complete handover paperwork is given to colleagues. To take part in service user room checks, in partnership with other members of staff. 6. To ensure that the requirements of all relevant legislation are followed, as well as familiarising yourself with statutory requirements including safeguarding responsibilities and put these into practice. 7. To keep up to date with and adhere to all the organisation’s policy and procedures. 8. To attend training and development sessions to update and maintain your skills. Passing these courses is in some cases a requirement for continued employment. 9. To always be professional in appearance and behaviour, in and outside the property.
