Job Description:

Belfast, Downpatrick, Lisburn and Newry Supported Housing Services (Move in to Move On) provide supported housing for young people. Support Workers provide an accessible point of contact at night and weekends to promote the protection and safeguarding of young people living at MACS and help them to build skills and confidence to maintain their own homes. PLEASE NOTE: These roles are predominantly Waking Night shifts.ESSENTIAL CRITERIA: 6 Months’ experience (paid or voluntary) of supporting people in a caring role as an employee, volunteer or carer. Understanding and knowledge of homelessness, mental health and substance use. Ability to practice in line with MACS ethos and values. Hours of Employment: Full Time: 36 hours. Shifts include Waking Nights, Weekends, Bank Holidays and occasional Day Shifts. Typical Working Pattern is subject to change. ​​​​​​​Part Time (Newry only): 36 hours over two weeks Week1: Sunday day shift 9am – 9pm. Week 2: Saturday and Sunday night 5pm -5am) Salary: £18,285 per annum & pension at 4% of salary (Part Time Pro Rata)
