Job Description:

KIMS Hospital, Maidstone are looking for an enthusiastic individual who enjoys being active in their work to join our talented and skilled catering department as a Kitchen Porter. As a Kitchen Porter you will assist in the supply and provision of an exceptional food service to our patients and staff, whilst maintaining a work life balance that suits you including not working later than 7.15pm each evening. You will be required to complete a variety of tasks to support the team including assisting the chef’s, cleaning of kitchen and dining areas and washing equipment and cutlery. This is a permanent full time role working shifts between 06:30 and 19:15 so no more late nights! Role Responsibilities include: To clean and wash all kitchen and service items in an efficient manor with high attention to detail and in line with company and COSHH standards Assist the chef’s in the preparation of food as requested adhering to food hygiene regulations Keep the kitchen and restaurant areas clean and tidy at all times Be completely customer focused, working together with the team to provide an efficient and effective service Person Specification: Be experienced working within a food service role providing exceptional customer service Possess a Food Hygiene certificate or be willing to undergo this training Have excellent communication and customer service skills Have knowledge of COSHH and its application KIMS Hospital employees enjoy the following benefits: Competitive Salary Free Secure Staff Parking Pension Scheme Private Health Insurance 33 Days annual leave plus extra time off for your birthday Life Assurance Annual Flu Vaccination Free Eye Test If you have any queries regarding this vacancy, Juliet would be happy to help.
