Working for the fire service is an exciting, challenging role where one day is never the same as the next. And it’s not just firefighters. We have a diverse range of roles, from graphic designers to IT technicians, who all contribute to making life safer for everyone.
As a Firefighter (Control) you would be the start of the frontline, answering 999 calls and being that first point of contact for people in an emergency. You would play a vital role in dealing with incidents and determining the scale of response and mobilising the most appropriate vehicles/equipment to tackle fires, animal rescues, chemical spills, road traffic collisions and more.
