Job Description:

Davies are looking to recruit a Claims Handler to join our team in Colchester. In this role, you will play a vital role within the company and be the first point of contact for our customers. You will review policies to determine how to progress a claim, while ensuring the policyholder is kept informed on progress. You will arrange settlements, invoice payments while managing your own case load. You will liaise with a variety of individuals both internally and externally, while managing incoming emails and phone calls. To succeed in this role, you will be a great communicator, dedicated to providing a professional and empathetic service to our customers. In addition, to providing exemplary customer service, you will have previous experience dealing with challenging conversations, while maintaining a professional and adaptable communication style. At Davies, we value transferable skills and qualities that focus on what you can bring to the role. While industry experience is a benefit, it is not essential as we will provide you with full training and support when you start with us.

What you’ll be doing:
• Reviewing policies to correctly determine how to move forward with their claim
• Reviewing data to set up new claims, appointing contractors
• Composing informative letters and other written correspondence to policyholders
• Ensuring claims are updated with any changes on internal system.
• Ensuring compliance with our contractual and regulatory requirements
• Managing and reviewing diaries in a timely manner
