As the Nursery Manager you will be responsible for effectively managing the nursery team to ensure that the setting is always providing the highest quality of care and education. You will oversee the operational management of the nursery adhering to the EYFS Statutory Framework and Ofsted requirements; whilst having scope to contribute to how the nursery operates. When children join us they are invited to play and explore, to talk and question, to wonder and investigate, and to build the confidence to discover, create, and learn. Day to day you will: You will take responsibility for the day to day running of the setting and have accountability for the following: Motivate, lead and support a team of up to 21 staff and drive development and progression through guidance, support and role modelling. Ensure that the nursery operates to the highest standards and meets all relevant statutory requirements, including Health and Safety regulations Proactively manage the nursery, being responsible for planning and logistics, alongside running the nursery routine.Ensure the setting is well resourced and learning environments are maintained. Build and maintain positive relationships with parents, children and all members of the team. Work alongside the supportive senior team including The Head of Nursery, training manager and lead of operations.
We are looking for: A passionate and positive attitude towards working with children and families. At least 2 years current or recent management level experience within an early years setting. At least 5 years post qualification experience. Ideally hold an Early Years Degree but must have a minimum Level 3 Qualification. Strong leadership skills. Sound knowledge of Ofsted requirements and the Revised EYFS framework and Forth coming changes. Excellent communication skills. Good IT skills.
